Museum pictures part 1

Today we had lunch with Aunt Kathy, went to the Dr. Pepper gift shop for a fresh soda, and then to a children's museum.

we had a great time at the party! Tomorrow we'll hit a children's museum and an old time soda fountain. Kiddos are asleep by the computer, so pics will have to wait for one more day.

Last day of school

Today was A's last day of school. Her teacher put all the kids in their cubbies on the wall and took a photo. Pretty cute. I was hoping she would email it tonight so I could put it up on the blog, but no luck yet.
Tomorrow is HZ's last day. They're having ice cream sundaes to celebrate. Plus, Aunt J and K will be rolling into town. Photo ops galore.

HZ

Long story short, we saw the ENT today and HZ is having surgery to have his tonsils out next Thursday, June 3rd.

He's got a good attitude about it. He knows that mommy, dad, and A. have all had their tonsils out and wants to be apart of the 'club'. He's super stoked about all the ice cream.

It's the very beginning of summer and hopefully he'll just get this over with, heal up and enjoy the rest of the break. I'll be very glad when this is all over for him.

Recital pictures

We all had a nice time watching A. perform and the little ballerina seemed to enjoy herself. Nanna, Grandpa Doug, and Granddad all came to celebrate the event. Pizza afterwards. Good times!

School pics

Bad mommy!

Today was HZ's kindergarten 'water day'. We set up little water/messy stations around and let the kids rotate b/w them. There were bubbles,water balloons, kiddie pools with water guns, shaving cream tables, sprinklers, and a kiddie pool filled with water and marbles. That last station was interesting and quite frankly, weird. The kids sat on chairs around the pool and picked up the marbles with their toes and dropped them into a bucket. (Although, too bad Dad wasn't there. He would have excelled at that activity!)
Anyway, I was helping to set up outside with some other mommies and missed the sunscreen application extravaganza inside. I ALWAYS put on sunscreen. I go for the pasty white look in the summer. It's my color. Seriously.
I think you know where this is headed. I just completely forgot. It was partly cloudy, just enough not to be miserable, plus getting wet from all the water being thrown around, I just. didn't. realize. It's really not that bad. I'm just a big baby when my arms, tops of feet and neck are on FIRE.

I have pictures to post, pictures to mail out (school pics), thank you letters sitting here, gifts to send............I'm so behind but I'll catch up this weekend and get back on track. Thanks for everyone's understanding. I do appreciate all that you do and I hope to let everyone know it in a more timely manner!!

Power out

Power went out this evening for awhile (thunderstorms) so I'll catch up tomorrow.

Sleeping beauty

HZ got these glasses with his dollar from the tooth fairy. I should mention that he was very sweet by writing a note to the tooth fairy on behalf of his sister for an extra dollar. (Not a ruse, he really wanted her to have something too!)

Watermelon

My grandfather was in town earlier this week and took us out to the 'trough' for lunch. Good times. Also, he graciously cut up a watermelon for us. He has quite a knack for picking out the BEST. Thanks Granddad!

Mother's Day Tea

The school put on a lovely Mother's Day Tea. The kids sang heart wrenching I-love-you-mommy songs while we all ate mini quiche and strawberries. High flutin' times, I tell you.

Loose tooth

The second picture is fake. R. had HZ pose like he was in pain. The tooth is still in his head. Everyone is ready for that thing to be OUT!
