The kids are VERY excited about Christmas. Of course Aubin has been coughing and running a fever of 103 off and on since last night....sigh. We made the most of the holiday spirit today in between fever spells. We made Christmas cookies for Santa. I used the French butter cookie recipe from Epicurious.com (use the salt even if you use salted butter and dust with a bit of sugar before or after baking for those of you who are interested). Delish...the cookies are more buttery than sugary (is that a word?), which I heard Santa likes. The day passed quickly and soon it was time to set out the cookies and milk (plus reindeer snacks).
